You must roll a 6 to move a token out of your base and onto the starting square. When you roll a 6 you also get an additional roll. Three consecutive 6s do not result in a bonus turn — the third 6 is forfeited.
Landing on a square occupied by an opponent's token sends it back to their base. You earn a bonus roll when you capture. Tokens on safe squares (marked distinctly on the UK 777 board) cannot be captured.
Two tokens of the same colour on the same square form a "block" and cannot be captured by opponents. A block can be broken by your own choice. Opponents cannot pass through a block either — it genuinely disrupts the board.
Once a token enters your colour-specific home column, opponents cannot capture it. You must roll the exact number needed to land on the centre home square to finish a token. Overshoot and the token stays where it is.
